why not recommend machine screw to make negative tolerance
why not recommend smachine screw to make negative tolerance?
When screw manufacturers produce stainless steel machine screws, they all produce according to the drawings confirmed by the customer. So why sometimes screw manufacturers say that when making screws, the size of the screw is not recommended to be negative tolerance?
The reason why stainless steel machine screws are not recommended to make negative tolerance is mainly because the screws need to be cleaned and passivated after thread rolling before they can be delivered to the customer's hands, so as to avoid the screws from getting dirty. Once the screw needs to be cleaned or passivated, the size of the screw will become smaller during the process, resulting in the size of the screw not in line with the drawing.
When the screw meets the tolerance, the screw manufacturer needs to consider whether the size of the screw will become smaller when cleaning, and how much the smaller size will be. If the customer can accept the reduced size, then you can continue. If the customer cannot accept it, then the screw manufacturer needs to re-produce, or be very careful when cleaning, to ensure that the size after cleaning is also in line with the drawing.
